Two Days One Night Trekking Around Inle

Day 1 (Hotel – NyaungShwe – Loi Kin – KoneSone)

In the morning, you will be transfer to the starting point by boat and Three-wheel Motor Bike. Trekking up hill to the TaungYoe Village of KoneSonevillage Will take about (5) hours walk. You will pass cheroot leaves plantations on the way. There are also wild orchid growing in the trees. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the whole area and life of the local ethnic minorities. Traditional simple lunch will be provided at the village house. After lunch, continue hiking to KoneSone village, which is located at the highest elevation of Inle Lake region. Simple home cook dinner will be provided and over night stay at the local family house.

Day 2 (KoneSone – LoiKhaw – Forest Monestary – Mine Thauk) (B)

After breakfast prepared by your trekking guide, start walking to Mine Thauk village (4 hours) located on the eastern shore of the lake.You will pass through some small villages on the way, tea leaves plantations and LoiKhaw (Pa – O hill tribe) village. You will also have chance to visit to the forest monastery .Continue walking to Mine Thauk village. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel by boat.

Additional information
For this trekking, we do recommend to take only a small backpack, which you can carry during the hike. The less stuff you carry around, the more you will enjoy yourself.

It can contain items you might need during the hike:

  • 2 pairs of socks. Sandals or flip-flops (for the evening)
  • Small towels and personal items
  • Sun-cream, hat, sunglasses. Mosquito repellent
  • 1 long sleeves sweater and pants, or jogging suits (for cold season)
  • A small flashlight is always useful.
  • Wear a good pair of running shoes or lightweight trekking shoes.

During the cold season (mostly months of December and January), it is always better to bring some warm clothes, as temperatures can drop down at night. It can reach a 5 degree Celsius in the morning early hours.

3 Days 2 Nights Kalaw to Inle Trek, start directly from Kalaw

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Kalaw – Tar yaw – YwaPu

Early in the morning at around 8:00, you will be picked up by the trekking guide and walk to the Palaung (one of the ethnic minorities of Myanmar) village of Tar Yaw, YwaThitkone (3 hrs) through the residential area of Kalaw and forest around Kalaw. Visit Tar Yaw to see the life style of the people. Picnic style lunch will be served on the way. Proceed to YwaPu and the surrounding villages through the forested mountain of the region (2 ½ hrs.). Traditional style dinner and over night stay at the local family house or the monastery of the village.

Day 2 YwaPu – KoneHla – HtiThein

After a simple breakfast start walking for the village of La Mine KoneHla and you will enjoy to see the ways of life of Danu and Pa O people (ethnic minority of the region). Lunch will be served on the way at one of the local family house. After lunch continue walking to the village of HtiThein and you will see the beautiful landscape of the region, working people on their vegetables fields. Dinner and over night stay at the monastery of the village.

OPTION 1

Day 3 HtiThein– Nan Yoke – Than Thaung

After breakfast at the monastery start walking through the hilly and forested area of the region, visit several villages on the way and finally you will reach to the village of Than Thaung located on the western shore of Inle Lake. And you will be transferred to the hotel by boat.

OPTION 2

Day 3 HtiThein- Nan Yoke- Inn Tein

After breakfast at the monastery start walking through the hilly and forested area of the region, visit several villages on the way and finally you will reach to the village of Inntein located on the western shore of the lake where you will see the beautiful pagoda complex dating back to 18th to 20th century which are in ruins. After visiting Inntein pagoda you will be transferred to your hotel by boat.

The main luggage will be transferred by car to the hotel if the guests stay in the hotel in NyaungShwe (or) transferred to the hotel by car and boat if the guests stay in the hotel on the lake.

“Trekking from Kalaw to Inle 1 Night stop”

Day 1 Heho- Tha Yet Pu -Kan Par NI - Waa GyiMyaung

After arriving Heho airport by morning flight, you will be transferred to Tha Yet Pu village ( 20 minutes) where you will meet the trekking guide and start walking to Kan Par Ni village (1 ½ hours). Visit the different families of the village and see the pottery and black smith workshops. Lunch will be served at the monastery of the village. After lunch proceed to Waa GyiMyaung village (located on the highest mountain of Inle lake region, 3 hours) through different villages of TaungYoe, Danu and Pa O ethnic minority.

Day 2 Waa GyiMyaung – KhaungDaing

After having very simple breakfast (prepared by your trekking) take the decanting foot path to KyaukNgek village (1 ½ hours) where you can visit the school of the village and try to have the experience of teaching the school children of the village. Continue walking to KhaungDaing village (located on the western shore of the Lake) through the forested valley (2 hours). Upon arrival to KaungDaing you will be transferred to your hotel.
